If you have worked as a TNA during this health crisis in the state of Indiana, we have a great opportunity for you! Rather than going through a full CNA program, we have a condensed program that allows you to go from a TNA to CNA with Trilogy. This program is online and on-demand through our education partner, Cinematic. The steps to complete this program are below.
TNA to CNA bridge program is currently only open to RCAs who have completed TNA in the state of Indiana.
To get started please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Become a TNA
Skip this step if you have already completed your TNA training.
You must complete the TNA Education and Clinical Competency Validation before you can complete the TNA to CNA bridge program, starting in Step 2.
Step 1A: TNA Education
The training for the Temporary Nurse Aide/Personal Care Associate is 5 hours long. The education is provided by:
Cinematic
- Available in all Four States
- Online and OnDemand
Step 1B: Competency Validation
It is estimated that the Clinical Competency Validation will take approximately 3 hours.
- If you are an RCA please print the Competency Checklist you are assigned in Trilogy University
- If you are in another position other than RCA please complete the form in the button below
- Upon completion of this form, the assignment should be in Trilogy University within 48 hours

- Once you have printed the form please take to your Nurse Mentor for Clinical Validation. If a Nurse Mentor is not available, another Nurse can complete this with you instead
- Once Validated, take your signed Competency Checklist to your AP/Payroll Coordinator for final documentation, and you will be able to assume the additional job duties within 48 hours of your AP completing this documentation.
Step 2: Complete TNA to CNA Bridge Education
The TNA to CNA education will take approximately 24 hours to complete. Combined with the 8 hours completed while becoming a TNA, and clinical hours you have worked as a TNA, this will allow you to qualify for your state’s CNA Exam (Indiana Only). This is paid for by Trilogy. This is in lieu of a typical 75 hour in person class required to qualify for the State CNA Exam.

Step 3: Apply & Complete CNA State Exam
Completion of TNA and the TNA to CNA bridge program qualifies you to sit for your State CNA Exam. (Indiana Only)
