Those with the QMA Certification will:
- A QMA performs duties with proficiency and provides medication and records the provision of medications to residents under the direction and monitoring of a registered nurse according to the provision of State Regulations for Medication Aides.
- An apprentice will attain a basic level of mastery across all competency areas before receiving certification.
- Basic mastery will be represented by the apprentice being able to articulate learning with each competency area and demonstrate successful integration of all the competencies relating to work.
The order in which the apprentices learn will be determined by the flow of work on-the-job and will not necessarily be in the order listed.
Education Requirement: Competency Based Training 350 Minimum Hours (including education and on-the-job training)
Prerequisite: In Advanced CNA position for at least 90 days.
This certification is provided by Trilogy’s third party education partners. Each partner may have a different enrollment process. Each state has a different certification standard which an education partner based in that state will observe.
